The North Lenoir Hawks basketball squad (LaGrange, NC), was nudged 70-68 in Thursday's league battle with the host South Lenoir Blue Devils (Deep Run, NC)
With the victory, South Lenoir advances its record to 6-7 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Ashley (Wilmington, NC) to meet the Screaming Eagle in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Screaming Eagle enter the battle with a record of 6-8. Ashley lost 84-62 in their recent league battle against New Hanover (Wilmington, NC)
The Hawks now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ayden - Grifton for a non-league battle on Friday, January 17. North Lenoir will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 72-57 league loss to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 7-7.
