Nebraska High School Basketball - Sandhills/Thedford holds off Anselmo-Merna

The Sandhills/Thedford Knights basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Anselmo-Merna Coyotes to 38 in the Knights league triumph on Thursday.

The Knights now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Maywood/Hayes Center for a non-league game on Friday, January 17. Sandhills/Thedford will confront a Wolves team coming off a 72-32 non-league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, NE). The Wolves record now stands at 12-2.

With the loss, Anselmo-Merna falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Coyotes host Central Valley (Greeley, NE) to confront the Cougars in a D2 District 7 game on Friday, January 17. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 2-11. Central Valley lost 61-52 in their recent non-league game against Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE)
