In Thursday's league contest, the host Fulton Steamers basketball team scored a big 48-22 triumph over the Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders.

The Steamers (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Orion (Orion, IL). The Chargers go into the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Orion smashed Mendota (Mendota, IL), 56-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Raiders battle the Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Ashton-Franklin Center will attempt to better on its 8-15 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 9-14 record after their 62-50 non-league loss to Freeport (Freeport, IL).
