The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Bishop Diego Cardinals (Santa Barbara, CA) and the visiting Thacher Toads (Ojai, CA), observed Bishop Diego's basketball team overcome Thacher by a margin of 49-30.

The Cardinals (5-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Coastal Christian (Pismo Beach, CA). The Conquerors come into the non-league challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Coastal Christian defeated Coast Union (Cambria, CA), 68-4, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Toads battle the St. Bonaventure Seraphs (Ventura, CA) in a Tri-Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Thacher will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Seraphs come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 81-25 non-league win over Fillmore (Fillmore, CA).
