The Callaway Cavaliers (Hogansville, GA) basketball crushed the host Rutland Hurricanes (Macon, GA), 54-31 in Thursday's league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they host Morgan County for a AA Region 2 bout on Friday, January 17. Callaway will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-21 league win over Pike County (Zebulon, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-9.
With the loss, Rutland falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host Pike County (Zebulon, GA) to play the Pirates in a AA Region 2 bout on Friday, January 17. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Pike County won 46-26 in their recent non-league bout against Rock Springs Christian Academy (Milner, GA)
