In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Conneaut Area Eagles basketball team scored a close 50-49 win over the Franklin Knights.

The Eagles (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA). The Rockets come into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Slippery Rock edged Hickory (Hermitage, PA), 42-34, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Knights battle the Greenville Trojans (Greenville, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Franklin will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record. The Trojans come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 46-42 league loss to Grove City (Grove City, PA).
