In Thursday's league contest, the host Sauk Centre Mainstreeters basketball team scored a big 57-31 triumph over the Melrose Dutchmen.

The Mainstreeters (14-0) will now prepare for their contest against Albany (Albany, MN). The Huskies go into the AA Section 6 contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Albany smashed Rocori (Cold Spring, MN), 64-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Dutchmen confront the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 23. Melrose will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record.
