In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Missouri Valley Big Reds basketball team scored a close 34-33 win over the Underwood Eagles.
The Big Reds (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Logan-Magnolia (Logan, IA). The Panthers come into the Western Iowa contest with a 7-7 record. In their last contest, Logan-Magnolia was tipped by Treynor (Treynor, IA), 41-20, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) in a Western Iowa challenge, on Friday, January 17. Underwood will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 37-24 non-league loss to Coon Rapids-Bayard (Coon Rapids, IA).
