The Walton-Verona Bearcats basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Owen County Rebels to 33 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bearcats now have a 11-3 record. They play next when they travel to Eminence for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Walton-Verona will confront a Warriors team coming off a 46-41 league loss to Carroll County (Carrollton, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Owen County falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Williamstown (Williamstown, KY) to confront the Demons in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Demons go into the game with a record of 0-10. Williamstown lost 64-25 in their recent non-league game against Henry County (New Castle, KY)
