California High School Basketball - Oxnard falls to Ventura

The Oxnard Yellowjackets basketball squad (Oxnard, CA), was outscored 39-28 in Thursday's league battle with the host Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA)

With the victory, Ventura advances its record to 20-1 on the year. The Cougars host Victory Christian Academy (Chula Vista, CA) to meet the Knights in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Knights enter the battle with a record of 6-11. Victory Christian Academy won 58-52 in their recent non-league battle against Great Oak (Temecula, CA)

The Yellowjackets now own a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buena for a Channel battle on Tuesday, January 21. Oxnard will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-51 league win over Dos Pueblos (Goleta, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-4.
