In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Westwood Panthers basketball team scored a good 36-25 triumph over the Port St. Lucie Jaguars.
The Panthers (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Melbourne (Melbourne, FL). The Bulldogs go into the 6A District 6 contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Melbourne topped Satellite (Satellite Beach, FL), 41-25, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Jaguars battle the St. Edward's Pirates (Vero Beach, FL) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Port St. Lucie will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 9-4 record after their 52-39 non-league loss to Merritt Island Christian (Merritt Island, FL).
