In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Waterford Wildcats basketball team scored a good 43-27 victory over the Southern Tornadoes.
With the victory, Waterford advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Tuscarawas Valley (Zoarville, OH) to meet the Trojans in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 10-3. Tuscarawas Valley won 50-27 in their recent league battle against Claymont (Uhrichsville, OH)
The Tornadoes now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nelsonville-York for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 21. Southern will meet a Buckeyes squad coming off a 41-39 non-league loss to Trimble (Glouster, OH). The Buckeyes record now stands at 4-9.
