Coffee Trojans (Douglas, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 41-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Coffee upgrades its record to 4-2 on the year. The Trojans travel to Atkinson County (Pearson, GA) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 0-0.
The Pirates now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pierce County for a non-league match on Friday, January 17. Appling County will face a Bears squad coming off a 21-18 non-league loss to Wayne County (Jesup, GA). The Bears record now stands at 3-2.
