The Cheverus Stags ice hockey team scored 5 points and held the visiting Greely Rangers to 2 in the Stags league victory on Thursday.
The Stags now own a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host York for a Class B South bout on Saturday, January 18. Cheverus will encounter a Wildcats team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Kennebunk (Kennebunk, ME). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-3.
With the defeat, Greely moves to 0-6 on the season. The Rangers host Hyde (Bath, ME) to encounter the Phoenix in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 3-2. Hyde won 3-2 in their recent non-league bout against Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME)
