In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders ice hockey team scored a close 4-3 victory over the Woodbury Royals.

The Raiders (12-2) will now prepare for their contest against White Bear Lake (White Bear Lake, MN). The Bears go into the Suburban East contest with a 11-2 record. In their last contest, White Bear Lake edged Grand Rapids (Grand Rapids, MN), 5-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Royals play the Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Woodbury will attempt to better on its 5-10 season record. The Royals go into the contest with a 4-4 record after their 10-3 non-league loss to St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN).
