In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Louis Park Orioles ice hockey team scored a close 7-1 victory over the Waconia Wildcats.

The Orioles (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against New Prague (New Prague, MN). The Trojans go into the non-league contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, New Prague was routed by Jefferson (Bloomington, MN), 4-1, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats play the Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Waconia will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 1-10 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Benilde-St. Margaret's (St. Louis Park, MN).
