The Garfield Bulldogs nipped the visiting Roosevelt Rough Riders basketball squad by a final score of 45-40 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Bulldogs clash with the Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, January 19. Garfield will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 12-10 record after their 51-48 non-league win over Artesia (Lakewood, CA).
