Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Dieterich Movin Maroons (Dieterich, IL), 56-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Altamont upgrades its record to 11-11 on the season. The Indians travel to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 20. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 19-1. Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City won 63-46 in their recent non-league bout against St. Elmo/Brownstown (St. Elmo, IL)

Next up, the Movin Maroons play the St. Elmo/Brownstown Eagles (St. Elmo, IL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 19. Dieterich will attempt to upgrade on its 14-9 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 54-49 non-league win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL).
