St. Francis Flyers (Humphrey, NE) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE), 85-7 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, St. Francis upgrades its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Flyers travel to Burwell (Burwell, NE) to play the Longhorns in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 20. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 6-9. Burwell won 51-44 in their recent non-league bout against Central Valley (Greeley, NE)
Next up, the Red Hornets play the Red Cloud Warriors (Red Cloud, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 25. Heartland Lutheran will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record.
