The Sevier County Smoky Bears basketball team (Sevierville, TN), was nudged 78-74 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN)
The Tornadoes now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cumberland Gap for a 2A District 2 battle on Friday, January 20. Alcoa will battle a Panthers team coming off a 80-17 league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 0-12.
The Smoky Bears (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Morristown-Hamblen East (Morristown, TN). The Hurricanes come into the non-league battle with a 7-5 record. In their last battle, Morristown-Hamblen East edged Daniel Boone (Gray, TN), 59-56, in a non-league battle.
