Onalaska Wildcats (Onalaska, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls (Anderson, TX), 76-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Onalaska upgrades its record to 11-16 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX) to play the Trojans in a 3A Region III District 23 bout on Friday, January 20. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 13-10. Coldspring-Oakhurst lost 70-54 in their recent league bout against Shepherd (Shepherd, TX)

Next up, the Fighting Owls play the Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 bout, on Friday, January 20. Anderson-Shiro will attempt to upgrade on its 6-19 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 11-15 record after their 64-41 league loss to New Waverly (New Waverly, TX).
