Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Plum Mustangs (Pittsburgh, PA), 50-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Armstrong upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The River Hawks host Freeport (Freeport, PA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 20. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 9-5. Freeport won 80-42 in their recent league bout against Indiana (Indiana, PA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Norwin Knights (North Huntingdon, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 20. Plum will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 8-5 record after their 47-46 league win over Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA).
