Troup Tigers (Troup, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Arp Tigers (Arp, TX), 70-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Troup upgrades its record to 16-9 on the season. The Tigers travel to Jefferson (Jefferson, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region II District 16 bout on Friday, January 20. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Jefferson lost 79-58 in their recent league bout against Tatum (Tatum, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Elysian Fields Yellowjackets (Elysian Fields, TX) in a 3A Region II District 16 bout, on Friday, January 20. Arp will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 65-47 league loss to West Rusk (New London, TX).
