The East Jackson Eagles basketball team (Commerce, GA), dropped 69-53 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA)
The Spartans now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fellowship Christian for a AA Region 8 battle on Friday, January 20. Athens Academy will battle a Paladins team coming off a 68-43 league loss to Union County (Blairsville, GA). The Paladins record now stands at 1-14.
The Eagles (7-12) will now prepare for their battle against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards come into the AA Region 8 battle with a 12-7 record. In their last battle, Banks County dropped by Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA), 84-71, in a league battle.
