The Shiprock Chieftains basketball team (Shiprock, NM), was nudged 89-83 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM)
The Tigers now possess a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kirtland Central for a 4A District 1 battle on Friday, January 20.
The Chieftains (5-12) will now prepare for their battle against Gallup (Gallup, NM). The Bengals come into the 4A District 1 battle with a 10-6 record. In their last battle, Gallup was nudged by Albuquerque Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 68-58, in a non-league battle.
