Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA), 72-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Lynnville-Sully upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Hawks travel to Montezuma (Montezuma, IA) to play the Braves in a South Iowa Cedar bout on Friday, January 20. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Montezuma won 78-61 in their recent league bout against H-L-V (Victor, IA)

Next up, the Bears play the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar bout, on Friday, January 20. B-G-M will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Tigerhawks go into the bout with a 0-11 record after their 89-34 league loss to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA).
