The Barbour County Jaguars (Clayton, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL), 60-59 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jaguars (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Abbeville (Abbeville, AL). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A Area 3 test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Abbeville got by Ariton (Ariton, AL), 66-54, in a league test.

The Rebels now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Carroll for a non-league test on Thursday, January 19. Long will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 66-50 league loss to Charles Henderson (Troy, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 18-5.
