Oxford Pirates (Oxford, MA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bartlett Indians (Webster, MA), 49-46 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Oxford improves its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Northbridge (Whitinsville, MA) to play the Rams in a South Worcester County - A challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. Northbridge lost 67-61 in their recent league challenge against Auburn (Auburn, MA)

Next up, the Indians play the Prouty Panthers (Spencer, MA) in a South Worcester County - B challenge, on Friday, January 20. Bartlett will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 10-0 record after their 60-32 league win over Quaboag Regional (Warren, MA).
