Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Batesville Pioneers (Batesville, AR), 65-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Marion upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Patriots host Greene County Tech (Paragould, AR) to clash with the Golden Eagles in a 5A East bout on Friday, January 20. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 18-4. Greene County Tech lost 69-63 in their recent league bout against Searcy (Searcy, AR)

Next up, the Pioneers clash with the Nettleton Raiders (Jonesboro, AR) in a 5A East bout, on Friday, January 20. Batesville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 13-5 record after their 78-73 league win over Paragould (Paragould, AR).
