Bergman Panthers (Bergman, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Flippin Bobcats (Flippin, AR), 77-68 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bergman upgrades its record to 18-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Elkins (Elkins, AR) to play the Elks in a 3A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 10-8. Elkins won 53-44 in their recent league bout against West Fork (West Fork, AR)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Valley Springs Tigers (Valley Springs, AR) in a 3A Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 20. Flippin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 62-27 league win over Green Forest (Green Forest, AR).
