Texas High School Basketball - Wagner edges Boerne-Champion

The Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Boerne-Champion Chargers (Boerne, TX), 52-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Thunderbirds (14-10) will now prepare for their test against Pieper (San Antonio, TX). The Warriors go into the 5A Region IV District 26 test with a 17-8 record. In their last test, Pieper was tipped by Seguin (Seguin, TX), 70-58, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 23-2 record. They play next when they host Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Friday, January 20. Boerne-Champion will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 70-52 league win over Canyon (New Braunfels, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 23-4.
