Dawson Bulldogs (Dawson, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bremond Tigers (Bremond, TX), 41-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Dawson upgrades its record to 17-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Hubbard (Hubbard, TX) to play the Jaguars in a 2A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, January 20. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 16-6. Hubbard won 38-36 in their recent league bout against Riesel (Riesel, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Axtell Longhorns (Axtell, TX) in a 2A Region III District 18 bout, on Friday, January 20. Bremond will attempt to upgrade on its 13-8 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 48-31 league loss to Marlin (Marlin, TX).
