Iowa High School Basketball - North Polk nips Carroll

North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA), 58-56 in a league bout.
With the victory, North Polk upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 21. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 9-3.
Next up, the Tigers play the Harlan Cyclones (Harlan, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. Carroll will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Cyclones come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 74-56 league win over Kuemper (Carroll, IA).
