Alabama High School Basketball - Stanhope Elmore tipped by Carver Montgomery

The Carver Montgomery Wolverines basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Stanhope Elmore Mustangs to 66 in the Wolverines league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wolverines now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wetumpka for a 6A Area 3 contest on Thursday, January 19. Carver Montgomery will meet a Indians team coming off a 56-50 league loss to Lanier (Montgomery, AL). The Indians record now stands at 13-6.

The Mustangs (11-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lanier (Montgomery, AL). The Poets enter the 6A Area 3 contest with a 13-8 record. In their last contest, Lanier nudged Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL), 56-50, in a league contest.
