The Northeast Rebels basketball team (Goose Lake, IA), was nudged 73-67 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA)
The Cougars now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maquoketa for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20. Cascade will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Central Clinton (DeWitt, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 10-4.
With the defeat, Northeast moves to 5-8 on the year. The Rebels travel to Beckman (Dyersville, IA) to meet the Trailblazers in a non-league match on Friday, January 20. The Trailblazers enter the match with a record of 9-5. Beckman lost 54-37 in their recent non-league match against Marion (Marion, IA)
