Thornapple Kellogg Trojans (Middleville, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Cedar Springs Red Hawks (Cedar Springs, MI), 36-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Thornapple Kellogg upgrades its record to 1-7 on the season. The Trojans host Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Kenowa Hills lost 64-34 in their recent league bout against South Christian (Grand Rapids, MI)

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks (Ada, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold bout, on Friday, January 20. Cedar Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 56-54 league loss to Ottawa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI).
