The Panama Panthers basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Chautauqua Lake Thunderbirds to 34 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westfield for a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - II West contest on Friday, January 20. Panama will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 60-45 league win over Maple Grove (Bemus Point, NY). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-5.

The Thunderbirds (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Dunkirk (Dunkirk, NY). The Marauders enter the non-league contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Dunkirk was nudged by Allegany-Limestone (Allegany, NY), 61-54, in a league contest.
