Georgia High School Basketball - Flowery Branch tops Clarke Central

Flowery Branch Falcons (Flowery Branch, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA), 79-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Flowery Branch upgrades its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Falcons host Jefferson (Jefferson, GA) to play the Dragons in a AAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Dragons come into the bout with a record of 6-11. Jefferson lost 69-53 in their recent league bout against Clarke Central (Athens, GA)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs (Winder, GA) in a AAAAA Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. Clarke Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-12 season record. The Bulldoggs come into the bout with a 12-8 record after their 58-42 league win over Heritage (Conyers, GA).
