North Carolina High School Basketball - Clover Garden School tops Woods Charter

January 17, 2023: Burlington, NC 27217

Clover Garden School Grizzlies (Burlington, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Woods Charter Wolves (Chapel Hill, NC), 52-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Clover Garden School upgrades its record to 4-16 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Southern Wake Academy (Holly Springs, NC) to play the Lions in a 1A Conference 13 bout on Friday, January 20. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 2-13. Southern Wake Academy lost 70-31 in their recent league bout against River Mill (Graham, NC)

Next up, the Wolves play the Chatham Charter Knights (Siler City, NC) in a 1A Conference 13 bout, on Friday, January 20. Woods Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 21-0 record after their 69-24 league win over Triangle Math & Science (Cary, NC).
