Coal City Coalers (Coal City, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL), 46-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Coal City upgrades its record to 7-12 on the season. The Coalers host Wilmington (Wilmington, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a Illinois Central 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 10-5. Wilmington won 59-56 in their recent league bout against Manteno (Manteno, IL)

Next up, the Blue Devils clash with the Streator Bulldogs (Streator, IL) in a Illinois Central 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. Peotone will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 10-9 record after their 65-59 league loss to Lisle (Lisle, IL).
