The Evangel Christian Academy Lions basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Coosa Valley Academy Rebels to 41 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valiant Cross Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19.

The Rebels (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against North River Christian (Tuscaloosa, AL). The Chargers enter the AISA A Region 1 contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, North River Christian was nudged by Bessemer Academy (Bessemer, AL), 75-42, in a non-league contest.
