The Huntsville Hornets basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Dayton Broncos to 57 in the Hornets league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Porter for a 5A Region II District 16 contest on Friday, January 20. Huntsville will meet a Spartans team coming off a 44-32 league loss to Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Spartans record now stands at 8-17.

The Broncos (9-17) will now prepare for their contest against Kingwood Park (Kingwood, TX). The Panthers enter the 5A Region II District 16 contest with a 10-16 record. In their last contest, Kingwood Park was nudged by Lufkin (Lufkin, TX), 59-44, in a league contest.
