Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes edges Shady Side Academy

The Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) basketball nipped the visiting Shady Side Academy Bulldogs (Pittsburgh, PA), 53-51 in Tuesday's league test.
The Lancers (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Rams go into the WPIAL 3A 3 test with a 3-13 record. In their last test, Ligonier Valley was tipped by Derry (Derry, PA), 63-28, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Burrell for a WPIAL 3A 3 test on Friday, January 20. Shady Side Academy will encounter a Bucs squad coming off a 55-44 league win over Valley (New Kensington, PA). The Bucs record now stands at 8-6.
