The Detroit Lakes Lakers basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting Pequot Lakes Patriots to 53 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lakers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Detroit Lakes will battle a Rebels team coming off a 71-55 league win over Hawley (Hawley, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 8-2.

The Patriots (5-5) will now prepare for their contest against Crosby-Ironton (Crosby, MN). The Rangers enter the AA Section 7 contest with a 9-3 record. In their last contest, Crosby-Ironton triumphed over Two Harbors (Two Harbors, MN), 67-66, in a league contest.
