Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting E.D. White Cardinals (Thibodaux, LA), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Patterson upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Lumberjacks travel to St. James (St. James, LA) to play the Wildcats in a 3A District 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 3-4. St. James lost 64-50 in their recent non-league bout against White Castle (White Castle, LA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Donaldsonville Tigers (Donaldsonville, LA) in a 3A District 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. E.D. White will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 69-47 league win over Berwick (Berwick, LA).
