McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY), 58-56 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McLean County upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Cougars host Ohio County (Hartford, KY) to clash with the Eagles in a District 10 bout on Friday, January 20. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 15-3. Ohio County won 72-63 in their recent non-league bout against Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, KY)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the Butler County Bears (Morgantown, KY) in a District 12 bout, on Friday, January 20. Edmonson County will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 66-58 non-league win over Green County (Greensburg, KY).
