The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Vermillion Tanagers to 49 in the Huskies league triumph on Tuesday.
The Huskies now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Akron-Westfield for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Elk Point-Jefferson will meet a Westerners team coming off a 54-51 league loss to Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Westerners record now stands at 4-9.
The Tanagers (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD). The Chargers enter the non-league contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Sioux Falls Christian ran past Watertown (Watertown, SD), 75-47, in a non-league contest.
