Iowa High School Basketball - Essex ripped by Stanton

The Stanton Vikings basketball team scored 80 points and held the visiting Essex Trojans to 29 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Mills for a Corner contest on Tuesday, January 24. Stanton will battle a team coming off a 77-39 non-league win over Griswold (Griswold, IA). The record now stands at 10-2.
The Trojans (4-10) will now prepare for their contest against West Nodaway (Burlington Junction, MO). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, West Nodaway triumphed over East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] (Tarkio, MO), 56-44, in a league contest.
