The Thomas Jefferson Vikings (Richmond, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA), 54-50 in Tuesday's league test.
The Vikings (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Amelia County got by Lunenburg Central (Victoria, VA), 56-40, in a league test.
The Mavericks now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Glen Allen for a Colonial test on Friday, January 20. Freeman will encounter a Jaguars squad coming off a 54-53 league win over Godwin (Richmond, VA). The Jaguars record now stands at 11-3.
