Gainesville Red Elephants (Gainesville, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA), 75-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Gainesville upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Red Elephants travel to Shiloh (Snellville, GA) to play the Generals in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 7-10. Shiloh won 66-30 in their recent league bout against Jackson County (Jefferson, GA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Habersham Central Raiders (Mt. Airy, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. Jackson County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-17 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 70-42 league loss to Lanier (Sugar Hill, GA).
